I thought it was about time to show the boys’ room again! If you didn't see their nursery tour, you can read about it here! I also thought I would share with you how I organize their dresser.
Dresser organization:
I started using these storage cubes from Ikea when I was pregnant & putting together the nursery, they are great for organizing baby clothes & fit in the dresser perfectly.
The top four smaller drawers hold their pajamas, onesies/shirts & socks.
The two middle drawers hold pants, blankets & sheets/mattress protectors. The boys don’t use swaddles anymore, but I had to keep a few of my favorite ones from when they were little! I feel like they might come in handy to use as light blankets when we go for walks.
The bottom two drawers hold diaper genie refills & blankets. We received so many lovely, handmade blankets when the boys were little! We love them all & like to have them easily accessible.
Their closet holds their sweaters, jackets & all of the clothing that is too big for them.
Now onto their room! Not a ton has changed in their room. We moved their cribs, removed a few things & added more toys. Wyatt & Boden actually use this room to play in now, it’s so sweet watching them play!
The majority of the upstairs toys are kept in their closet. I love the Kallax units from Ikea, they are great for storing toys! Stuffed animals go in a basket & they have a few bigger toys scattered throughout the room (a trike, an activity cube, etc.)
Getting rid of their changing pad means more room for books! These are all of their books that have paper pages & can be easily ripped. They have access to all of their board books, which are either downstairs in their play area or in their room on a low bookshelf.
They have a little reading nook set up with a couple of chairs & a bookshelf. They love to climb up into these chairs & grab books from the shelf! The bookshelf & chairs are from Ikea.
We enjoy spending time playing in their bedroom. When they wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is change them & then we play before going downstairs for breakfast. Call me crazy, but I can’t help but imagine what their room will evolve into as they get older. I even caught myself looking at “big boy” beds online…?!?!? It’s definitely not time for that yet, but it’s fun to look!
