Last March, I shared the boys’ bedroom & how I organized their dresser. It has become one of my most read & shared blog posts so I figured it was time to do a little update! Their room has changed a lot in a year, mainly the addition of big boy beds! Here is the link to my previous post if you’d like to read about how their room was before: The Boys’ Room + Dresser Organization.
I’m planning on sharing how we transitioned them to their beds in another post, but we knew it was time to make the switch when they started climbing out of their cribs. I tried to “toddler proof” the room as much as I could, but having the large dresser in their room was not safe anymore so we had to rearrange a bit!
This is how their room currently looks! The beds take up a lot of space so there isn’t anything else in the room except for a small hamper (one for each boy) that stores their stuffed animals. It’s better this way because this room actually stays pretty clean. We don’t have any toys in here (except for the stuffed animals) & with their Beddy’s bedding, the beds keep nice & tidy as well.
I feel like I have to explain the plexiglass covering their window 😂 We have replaced the blinds in this room three different times (they just love to tear them apart!). This gave us the ability to keep the blinds intact since we need them to be closed during nap time. Also, we are still able to open them for sunlight when the boys are not sleeping. We had curtains hanging in here before, but those got torn down, too! (Literally ripped out of the walls!) These boys are crazy, I tell ya.
We moved their large, white dresser to our master room and moved a smaller dresser that I was using into their closet. This has worked perfectly for us!
I hang all of their shirts, jackets, overalls & sweaters. Everything else gets folded & placed in the dresser. Pajamas, underwear & socks go in the first drawer, pants & shorts go in the second drawer & blankets fill the third drawer. I still love using these storage cubes to organize their clothes because they fit so perfectly in their dresser. I started using them for my clothes, too!
Since I can’t write a post without including the stars of this blog…here are some pictures of the sweetest little guys!
xoxo
