A few weeks ago, I began making these felt envelopes for the boys for Valentine’s Day. I had an idea in my mind & just kind of ran with it!
I wanted to make something for them that was personalized, would last for a few years & would be fun for them to open.
These envelopes turned out super cute (in my opinion) & I think we will be able to use them for many years to come. All I needed for this project was felt, embroidery thread, a needle, hot glue gun, ribbon & a button. The two of them took me about a week to finish, but I only worked on them at nap time or bedtime. They could easily be knocked out sooner if you have the time!
Here is what I included inside each envelope:
Valentines books (Daniel Tiger, Curious George, Little Critter, Mouse)
Doodle pad
Crayons
See’s chocolate heart
Stickers
Heart-shaped crazy straw
Craft supplies (paint brush, wooden hearts, paint, glitter)
I plan to give these to the boys on Feb. 1st so they can enjoy the books & crafts before Valentine’s day comes to an end. With the exception of the chocolate hearts…those will be a special Valentine’s Day treat!
