The boys have been teething for a few months now & it seems like Sean & I have tried it all. There are definitely some things that have worked better for our boys than others, so I thought I would share what has been working for us!
Sophie La Girafe Teether - there is a reason that this teether is always on the “must have” baby registry lists. The boys love it! It has a very nice smell, is easy for them to hold & they are able to fit it into their mouth easily. At $25…it is definitely a splurge for a teether (which is why I was a little hesitant to buy at first) but I 100% recommend it. Plus, she’s so cute!
Wooden teething rings - no frill, just plain wooden rings! Wyatt especially loves to chew on these (he has two teeth so far). He can easily hold & pick them up on his own.
Nuby banana teether - I didn't realize this when I bought it, but this is a little baby toothbrush! The soft bristles not only massage the gums, but also gently clean. The loops that the banana peels make are perfect for tiny little fingers to wrap around. Both my boys like this one!
Boon pulp feeder - I haven’t used these for frozen fruit yet, but I’ve filled them with baby food & placed in the freezer. They boys enjoyed sucking on the frozen baby food to soothe sore gums. Once the food melted? Well that’s a different story ;)
Babyganics teething gel pods - these things really saved us in the first few days of teething. They are single use pods that you just rub on their gums with either your finger or the included q-tip. I keep these in my diaper bag for when we are on-the-go.
Infant Tylenol - sometimes when all else fails, you just have to go for the Tylenol. There have been times when nothing else will help, so Tylenol it is. After all, little teeth are ripping through their gums :( how painful is that?! Nobody wants to see their baby in pain.
Wash cloths (not pictured) - the boys love to suck & chew on wash cloths! I’m not sure if they just like putting anything & everything in their mouth or if they like the softness of them but either way, it works! Plus, teething is very…wet & slobbery. It’s nice that they can help mom out & wipe their face every once in a while ;) ha!
Since this post is all about teething…just take a look at my precious little Wyatt with his two teeth! So darn cute.
