Fall Bucket List

Happy Fall! Fall is my favorite time of year. I look forward to the crisp air, the colorful leaves, my favorite candle…& a million other things!

This year, I decided to write out a bucket list of fun, autumn inspired activities that we could do as a family. Here they are!

Fall Bucket List | Forever Fuller

Apple picking: I’ve always wanted to pick apples in the fall. Sadly, I’ve never been! Even though we live in one of the best places for it.

Pumpkin patch + painting pumpkins: Sean & I are both excited to take the boys to the pumpkin patch this year! Clearly, they are too little to carve pumpkins so we will opt for painting them instead! I’ve finger painted with them before, so they are familiar with paint.

Haunted corn maze: Going to the haunted corn maze on Sauvie Island is something Sean & I have done numerous times throughout our relationship. I’m hoping we can get a babysitter for one night so we can go again this year!

Visit Halloweentown: Do you remember the Disney Channel movie Halloweentown? The movie was filmed in St. Helens, Oregon, which is only an hour away from where we live. During the month of October, the town of St. Helens puts on “The Spirit of Halloweentown”, a month long halloween celebration! We have never been, so we would like to take the kids this year.

Go trick-or-treating: I know the boys are young, but this is their very first halloween! You bet we are going to dress them up & take them trick-or-treating.

Have a scary movie night: I love a good scary movie! The classics are always good ones to watch. As far as newer movies go, I think the Conjuring movies are sooo scary! A list of my favorite fall movies is coming to the blog soon!

Make caramel apples: What better way to use those apples we will be picking? ;)

Have an outdoor fire with s’mores: S’mores are my favorite! On a dry night, if we have one, I think it would be fun to make a fire in our outdoor fire pit, cuddle up with some blankets & make s’mores.

Take a scenic drive: One of my favorite things about fall is seeing all of the different colors of the changing leaves.

Go to Harvest Festival: Every year we go to the Harvest Festival in Hood River, Oregon. We get cider + kettle corn & walk around to the all of the different booths. Last year, I was very pregnant with the twins & we went to the Harvest Fest the day before my baby shower!

Make a fall inspired dinner: I would love to make a cozy meal. Maybe some homemade bread & a hearty soup? This tortellini soup recipe is a favorite in our house.

Throw the boys’ first birthday party: And last but certainly not least, our baby boys will be turning ONE on November 23rd. We have debated whether we should have a small family party for them or go all out for their first birthday! I know the party is more for us than it is for them, but it is still a huge milestone that we want to celebrate. And they definitely deserve to be celebrated!

There you have it, my Fall Bucket List! Do you have a bucket list you’d like to accomplish this season? If you do, I’d love to hear what’s on yours! Let me know in the comments :)

xoxo

Travel Bucket List: Iceland

Lately, it seems like Iceland is a pretty popular country to visit.  With direct flights being cheaper than ever, many people have been traveling to the "land of fire & ice" either for their main vacation destination or as a stop along the way to somewhere else.

My husband & I have been talking about traveling to Iceland for quite awhile now & are hoping to make a trip sometime in the future.  The sense of adventure excites us; the northern lights,  glaciers, crystal caves, volcanos & hot springs...the list could go on & on!

Here are just a few of the things that would be must sees on my Iceland bucket list!

Travel Bucket List: Iceland | Forever Fuller

Reykajavik:  Reykajavik is Iceland's capital city & is also the largest.  I would love to visit the museums & walk around the city seeing all of the beautiful architecture.

The Blue Lagoon:  The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa located in a lava field.  Who doesn't love a spa day?!

Wildlife sightings:  Iceland has one of the largest populations of Puffins in the world!  I would also love to go whale watching in the North Atlantic.

The Northern Lights:  If you read my All Things Scandinavian post, you know that I'm dying to see the northern lights someday.!

Golden Circle tour:  The Golden Circle is an area in Iceland that contains a bunch of natural wonders; waterfalls, geysers, etc.  I think it would be amazing to see Gullfoss waterfall & the Stokkur Geiser!

I'm sure there is plenty more to see & do in Iceland, but this seems like a good bucket list starting point :) What destinations are on your travel bucket list?  XOXO
