Easter is a little over three weeks away, which means it’s time to start thinking about Easter baskets! I’ve been collecting items for a couple of months now & I just finished putting together Wyatt & Boden’s baskets. Let’s hope I don’t find more things to add in the next few weeks! Although I will admit, I’m a little surprised to see how quickly Easter items flew off the shelves this year. I’m glad I started shopping a bit early!
I wanted to make sure I filled their baskets with intentional items that would last us a while & not just buy a bunch of seasonal “junk”. I went with a few nice-quality toys, some snacks/treats & some bathtub paint/crayons. I think these pieces did just the trick! I know the kids will be excited to receive some new wooden animals & playsilks (they love these things!) & will definitely be stoked about the chocolate! They also really enjoy taking baths (but have a lot of bath toys) so I thought the bath crayons & paint would be something new & fun.
Here is a list of things I included in their baskets this year:
Bunny baskets are from Michael’s & are the large size. Currently on sale!
Sarah’s Silks playsilks for the basket filler/grass: forest & ocean from the Earth collection.
Ostheimer wooden animals: sheep, rooster, standing bunny, sitting bunny.
Grimm’s sorting game. We all know I love Grimm’s wooden toys. This one was perfect because it came with two sets, packaged individually, so I could split it between the two baskets.
Bath crayons. I purchased both the orange/green/blue pack & the red/yellow/gray.
Crayola bathtub finger paint soap. I found these in the dollar section at Target! I can’t find a link, I’m assuming they are a pretty popular product.
Snacks: Annie’s Easter fruit snacks, See’s mini chocolate bunny & Lindt chocolate chick.
I bought these bunny eggs to put the fruit snacks in, these colored eggs for the chocolate chicks (& our egg hunt) & these adorable fillable carrots for the wooden bunnies to sit in.
I’m looking forward to coloring eggs with the boys this year & doing an egg hunt! I think the kids will have a ton of fun hunting for them.
What are you putting in your kiddos baskets this year?
Happy Easter!
xoxo
